I had the pleasure of visiting a farm very local to us at Petal Academy in Schomberg Ontario // JR Gardens a local Flower Farm - Grower

Jess and Ryan have a beautiful century farm located on the 2nd line in Schomberg Ontario - just a min east of Hwy 27. Their gorgeous farm has been in Jess's family for over 100 years - the farm has a stunning Colonial style Brick farmhouse surrounded with tall mature trees and rolling acres.
Their farm hosts a variety of farm animals, Chickens, Ducks and Horses to name a few.

Jess and Ryan start offering cut flowers in the spring with Tulips and Daffodils and carry through until the late fall. There best seller is there farm fresh cut mason jars that Jess puts together // which make a great hostess gift for a cottage or a sweet little accent for a summer patio dinner. All the flowers are grown or foraged on the farm property. I found myself in awe of there fabulous grasses, zinnia, snapdragons, celosia, feverfew, & sunflowers - just to name a few // just like a kid in a candy store!! They also grow wonderful garlic, they have experimented with a few varieties and I've got to say the one they settled on growing is delicious (had to buy a bag!!) and a awesome sized bulb, I love Local Garlic!

It was wonderful to visit this beautiful farm. Jess has fun antiques tucked into every corner (original farm antiques ) throughout the property - making it picturesque and county beautiful. They are unveiling a new Farmstand this Spring - so be sure to visit - I know I will!! & Can't wait till Spring!
